The Shop Sisters

Shop Sisters... Real Sisters We have always wanted to work together on our art, but we live in different states. We tried to figure out how we could share what we do in the digital world... the cloud... Ha. SO - we decided to hand cut silhouettes and use them in design work - prints, cards - or just about anything else we can add them to. Simple and sweet, easy to share between ourselves and you. Often times, the people you see in our silhouettes, are ourselves, friends and family. As an homage to our father, we have also used a few of our favorite Halloween silhouettes he made for us when we were children. When the mood strikes just right, our "literary" side shows up, and we write a poem or two ourselves to feature in our designs. Our parents had an antique shop that bore the family name, but, we just called it “The Shop” – hence our name “The Shop Sisters”. Their store was filled to the brim with heart and soul… and that is how we fill ours. We like to think they look down from their cloud and help guide the hands that cut the paper.
